6岁的女孩Eloise（Sofia Vassilieva）是个快乐的小精灵，随保姆Nanny（Julie Andrews）住在纽约一家大饭店。虽然整年难见上繁忙的母亲一面，她却没有任何不满，反似个小大人般非常将她理解。而在饭店的日常生活，她总能和养的小狗、乌龟一起，令它们变成精彩的历险。对她，饭店经理Mr.Salomone（Kenneth Welsh）非常头疼。
这日饭店因为要迎来一位王子异常忙碌，Mr.Salomone特别警告Eloise要老老实实，但是怎么可能呢？王子还没入饭店，已被Eloise领着痛快地逛了遍纽约。而令Mr.Salomone措手不及的，又岂止这样一桩！当然，小Eloise也早注意到Nanny暗恋Mr.Salomone。
